"Indian Point" is an award-winning film about the aging nuclear power plant, sitting just 35 miles north of New York City, and its safety. Since the plant was designed in the early 1950s, I was inspired by retro travel posters and vintage designs from that era in the dramatic juxtaposition of elements, color palette, typography and romanticized landscape silhouettes. I am inviting the viewer into the ongoing discussion about Indian Point's continued operational issues by transforming innocent clouds into potential ominous harbingers of doom.
